| Raja Belmlih - Ye'athebni (One of my Favorites Song) - 318 sec
1st of all Raja passed away 02 September 2007 after a one year battle with cancer which ultimately led to her death. She was in her late 40s when she died and has left the Arabic music industry with peace and so much respect by all fans and fellow artists.
Raja is from a Moroccan origin and has traveled most of the Arabic countries pursuing her singing career. Her stardom launched in early 1990s from Egypt and then moved to the Gulf region in later years to have a more successful career.
Raja was happily married and always has been adored by most people for her classic singing style and warm voice.
She was a big loss for the Arabic Music. May she rest in peace.

| Hasret - Anam (Mother) - 252 sec
Hasret is the winner of "Popstar Alaturka" the Turkish version of "American Idol". On the finale she sang "Anam" a very popular Turkish song dedicated to mothers, her mother was in the audience and seeing her daughter sing for her made her very emotional.
The voice that Hasret has is beautifully unique and powerful. The music is a different story, I have always been mesmerized by Turkish music, they have such rich taste when it comes to music. And don't get me started on the voices Turkish singers posses, I mean if you haven't heard Turkish music you are definitely missing on something spectacular.
It's true that I only understand some of the words in the song ,but that hasn't made it any less beautiful to me.
I believe that music made with such heart and soul makes the language barrier vanish and the only thing remain is the effect of the music on your senses.

| Riyad El Hamshari - Honored by Nawal & Shereen - 571 sec
Riyad El Hamshari was a very respected and highly talented composer. He passed away May 7th 2007 due to a heart attack.
On this TV program two of the most respected artists in the Arabic music industry (Nawal & Shereen) wanted to honor him with a medley of a couple of songs he composed for both artists.
Riyad started singing since he was 6 years old, but then he drifted to composing as he grew up. He has composed most of the hits in the Arabic music, every Artists had to work with Riyad even for once. His name was a major attraction on any album, and still he will always be remembered through the magical music he made and the songs he left for us to hear.
Riyad had two Children and on the day he had a heart attack he woke up right at dawn and looked into his wife's eyes and said my heart had stopped and died right after.
Nawal was very close with him and his family and his death has affected her deeply.

Majeda is one precious Arabic Artist who has gained much respect and love from all Arabs.
She devoted her talent to Classical Art and Genuine Music, her voice is crystal clear and as sharp as razor.
No matter how much I describe and say about her, I can't do her justice. She is beyond ordinary and she certainly is one unmissable icon in the Arabic Music.
"E'tazal El Gharam" is her latest songs composed by the master of all musician Melhem Barakat who himself is an extraordinary Arabic artist, the music is a combination of Jazz and Blues and Arabic.
Personally this is one of my All time favorites, and my favorite part of the song is the verse at 3:40.

The video is in the traditional Badawi life style (Arabic Gypsies) and the song was composed by Dr. Yakub El Khebyzi (a very respected composer in the Gulf region)who has managed in a magical way to add a pop beat to the song and gave a whole new dimension to the music.
The lyrics of the song are what make this song special and genuine.
Overall, this song is one of Asala's best songs.

This meaningful piece of art gives you a glimpse at what HUMANS in the Middle East are suffering from and what the media has been covering for years. What happens behind the covers is much worse than what we see on this video.
I just want to know where are the Human Rights? How could people be so cruel and soulless? This ridiculous conflict and debate has to come to an END and the rest of the world has to see this inhuman, criminal acts...
No one deserves to be treated and tortured like this, this video DOES NOT do any justice to what the Palestinians and others are going through. If you think these footage are horrible, then you ain't seen nothing, People have to go through this every freaking day!!! and for what???
I just can't describe how these people are suffering and nobody can!!
It's about time that people like you and me start to react and have an impact on this world and cause a change for once in this lifetime...
